God's Protection Through the Storm

Tuesday, September 21, 2021, our Ethnos360 Aviation R66 helicopter in Brazil was severely damaged due to an intense windstorm at the city airport. Winds of more than 100 km per hour caused the hangar where the helicopter was parked to collapse on top of it.

Please pray for us and the team in Brazil as we work together through all the ramifications that come from an accident such as this. These include insurance settlements and a search for a replacement R66 to resume helicopter service to Brazilian missionaries as soon as possible. Pray for encouragement for our team in Brazil as they pick up the pieces and begin again. They were just days away from completing construction of our own hangar on property that God provided in a different location. Now that we have our own hangar, we need a new helicopter!

Jeremiah, our Brazil helicopter pilot, was cleaning inside the helicopter when the hangar collapsed. It was truly a miracle from the Lord that he was not injured. As you can see in the photo, an airplane wing went through the helicopter cockpit right over top of him, shielding him from the falling roof. Jeremiah said it best: “Praise God for His protection. ... It’s a real reminder that God is in control. This helicopter was doing such incredibly good work serving the spread of the gospel. He’s got a purpose and a plan and is controlling all the way down to the smallest details and the most perfect timing, just like He did with [protecting] me in that helicopter. So, praise God.”

The ministry of Ethnos360 Aviation is on the front lines. It is a battle ground where Satan will do whatever he can to stop the spread of the gospel. Thanks for your support and prayers.
